Site Rules-

Warning you now so you cant complain later; there could be mature things in this RP, violence, sex, rape, drugs, whatever! It's not a rule, but we would like it if you just KNOW there is going to be a lot of sexual content in a thread you make, could you be so kind as to put an (R) in the thread title?
One liners? No! We can all type, OK we do have bad days and we're not going to insist that every post you make is at least a million lines long but please try to put a little effort into it..
Please try not to fight OOC OK? IC you can be as nasty and disrespectful to others as you like but OOC we are all friends! (OOC is Out Of Character and IC is In Character)
No Spamming. If we find stupid annoying pointless messages anywere they shouldn't be we will delete them. It's ok to ask people to join in plots, and to roleplay with you in the OOC board or the chatbox, but please don't push people, they often don't like it and will not rp with you because of it.
Don't make sigs too huge. The standard size should be no taller than 500 pixels and please don't make them any longer than 750. We don't mind scrolling down to read, but scrolling across is annoying.
When naming your posts, please do not use characters other than letters, nothing like "OoxXOne Fine DayXxoO" it makes the boards look immature and childish.
Please keep an eye out for posts which you could answer to, and make sure you check the site regularly.

Posting Styles-

Roleplaying Style - The universal roleplay style for this site is Past Tense - Third Person. This means, that you MUST roleplay in third person. No 'I walked here, I called him' or '*slammed phone down* *jogs the path*' type of stuff.
New Threads - You do not have to post in the story teller thread, but, if you do, then please put the time (ie- late noon) above the post, if you do not post in the Story Teller's thread then at least read it as it most likely describes the area you are posting in.
Speech - Speech can be indicated in many different ways, but I find myself indicating dialog with "quotations" or 'single bolded quotes'. If you have a style that you normally use, go ahead and use it. BUT make sure you can tell it apart from other forms of role playing, Ie: Actions and Thought.
Thought - Thought, like Speech, can also be indicated in a number of ways. I commonly use italics, 'italicized single quotes' or just 'single quotes'. Again, if you have your own way, feel free to use it, BUT again, it must be different from other forms.

Characters-

One Character per account for the first week at least, once you prove you can be active with this one character you can speak to me about making another character.
Names- Please make your account name the name of your main character, you don't have to do it when you register, but once you have posted your character will be fine. No fancy characters in them either please.
Rule on NPC(Non- Player Character), please contact me for permission before you act out and NPC Character.
Darkness Soldiers will have an account NPC'ed by the admin and some choosen members, if you wish to have a run in with a darkness soldier, please PM that account.
An NPC is a temporary character which is normally played by the admin or selected people. They do not stay for long and they are not permanent. If you have any questions about them, PM me.
Character Restrictions - Do not, and I repeat, do NOT copy your character from any books, stories, movies, TV shows, video games, or plot lines. These are considered blatant rip-offs. If one can point out obvious multiple alike traits, it's pretty obvious. The whole point of this role play site is for you to get your creative juices flowing and to make your mind work. Not to steal and re-play other people's ideas.
Power-Playing - NO POWER-PLAYING!!! Power-playing is when you control the actions of another person's character.
Killing off Characters - Do NOT kill off another person's character unless you have their consent. This is not fair to the person. Make sure you have discussed this between yourselves and the admins to make sure the plot is acceptable and to fine-tune all the ends.
God-Modding - No God-modding! God-modding is when you create a character that is invincible and/or knows everything. Do NOT make a character like this. All people have a weakness. Be creative!
